• MP35N Shoulder Bolts

    MP35N Shoulder Bolts

MP35N shoulder bolts are known for their extraordinary strength and are the strongest bolts we offer at Extreme Bolt. MP35N bolts owe their extraordinary strength to a unique alloy combination of nickel, cobalt, chrome and molybdenum and have ultimate tensile strengths that range from 227 ksi to 294 ksi (with age hardening). Beyond the strength of MP35N shoulder bolts, they are also exhibit good corrosion resistance and can resist most mineral acids, hydrogen sulfide, seawater and salt spray environments. MP35N bolts are also resistant to high temperature oxidation and could operate in environments up to 800°F and still maintain much of its strength.

  • Molybdenum Shoulder Bolts

    Molybdenum Shoulder Bolts

Molybdenum shoulder bolts possesses a very high melting point of 2620°C, a low coefficient of thermal expansion and a high level of thermal conductivity. Because molybdenum bolts have the ability to withstand extremely high temperatures without changing shape, expanding or softening significantly, they are ideal for high strength / high temperature applications that are shielded from oxygen. Exposing molybdenum fasteners to oxygen above 600°C will cause them to readily oxidize. As a result, molybdenum shoulder bolts find their way into high temperature vacuum furnaces, glass production, military and space applications where oxygen is not present.

  • Waspaloy Shoulder Bolts

    Waspaloy Shoulder Bolts

Waspaloy shoulder bolts are known for their superb high strength at elevated temperatures. Waspaloy is a high performance nickel alloy combined with cobalt, chrome and molybdenum to create it’s unique combination of strength and high temperature stability. Similar to that of Inconel 718 bolts, Waspaloy shoulder bolts exceed the strength and stability of Inconel 718 at elevated temperatures beyond 1400°F. In addition, the oxidation resistance of Waspaloy bolts make it an ideal materials for high temperature applications like gas turbines engines, and a variety of other aerospace components.

  • Zirconium Shoulder Bolts

    Zirconium Shoulder Bolts

Commercially pure zirconium shoulder bolts, also known as zirconium 702, are most well-known for their superior corrosion resistance in some of the harshest environments that include: • Hydrochloric Acid• Sulfuric Acid• Formic Acid• Nitric Acid • Acetic Acid It is also a metal that offers industry unique properties. It does not absorb neutrons, making it ideal for use in nuclear power and at low temperatures it is superconductive, making it ideal for super magnets.

  • Titanium Shoulder Bolts

    Titanium Shoulder Bolts

Shoulder bolts, also called stripper bolts are a unique fastener with three main parts: head, shoulder, and thread. The head has is the largest diameter and is where the torque is applied, typically with a socket driver. The shoulder is smooth and unthreaded, and has a set diameter and length. This cylindrical shoulder located under the head acts like an dowel or shaft, allowing moving parts to rotate around or slide along its length. The shoulder is used for rotating parts such as axles for rolling parts, guides for sliding elements, and pivot points. The final part of a shoulder bolt is the threaded shaft. The threaded portion of a shoulder bolt has a major diameter slightly smaller than the shoulder diameter.

  • 17-4 PH Shoulder Bolts

    17-4 PH Shoulder Bolts

17-4 PH shoulder bolts are made from a precipitation hardened stainless steel most known for its exceptional strength and its ability to maintain its mechanical properties to 600°F. Compared to 316 stainless steel, 17-4 PH bolts yield strength is up over 4 times greater. When compared to Duplex 2205 bolts, the yield strength of 17-4 PH can be up to 2-½ times greater. 17-4 shoulder bolts are available in 8 different aged (precipitation hardened) conditions offering a variety of mechanical properties

  • A286 Shoulder Bolts

    A286 Shoulder Bolts

A286 bolts, also known as Alloy 660 bolts are stainless steel alloy which contains iron, nickel and chromium. A286 shoulder bolts are known for their high strength, creep resistance and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures once age hardened. As a result, A286 bolts provide high levels of strength from room temperature up to about 1300°F (700°C). A286 shoulder bolts are also mildly corrosion resistant. While they should not be used for strong acid environments, they provide excellent oxidation resistance up to 1500°F (815°C) in conditions that would typically be found in high temperature exhaust streams.
