Introduction of monel fastener
Monel alloy, also known as nickel alloy, is an alloy made of metal nickel as a matrix with copper, iron, manganese and other elements added. Monel alloy has good corrosion resistance and is silvery white, which is suitable for edge wire material.

Corrosion resistance:
The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and their derivatives. Acid medium: M400 is corrosion resistant in sulfuric acid with a concentration of less than 85%. M400 is one of the few important materials that is resistant to hydrofluoric acid. Water corrosion: M400 alloy not only has excellent corrosion resistance in most water corrosion cases, but also pitting corrosion and stress corrosion are rarely found. Generally around 600℃, in high temperature steam, the corrosion rate is less than 0.026mm/a. Ammonia: Due to the high nickel content of Monel 400 alloy, it is resistant to corrosion under anhydrous ammonia and ammoniated conditions below 585°C.
Generally, the corrosion resistance of Monel K500 in solid solution state is basically the same as that of Monel 400 alloy. Therefore, the corrosion resistance data of Monel 400 can be completely applicable to Monel K500 alloy. Due to the alloy's low corrosion rate in flowing seawater and the alloy's high strength, the alloy is particularly suitable for the manufacture of seawater-resistant centrifugal pump shafts.
Applications:
The nuclear industry is used in the manufacture of equipment for uranium extraction and isotope separation, seamless water pipes and steam pipes in power plants, seawater exchangers and evaporators, sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid environments, crude oil distillation, pump shafts and propellers for equipment used in seawater, The nuclear industry manufactures equipment for uranium extraction and isotope separation, and manufactures pumps and valves used in equipment for the production of hydrochloric acid
Monel K500 (K500, NCu30-2-1, UNS N05500) alloy not only has excellent mechanical properties such as high strength, corrosion resistance and non-magnetic properties, but also has the same corrosion resistance as Monel 400. It can be used as a pump shaft material and is suitable for working under the harsh geological mining conditions of high-sulfur and high-wax oil layers. Since the alloy has no plastic-brittle transition temperature, it is very suitable for various low temperature equipment. This alloy is mainly used for pump shafts and valve stems, conveyor scrapers, oil well drill collars, elastic parts, valve pads, etc. It is suitable for petroleum, chemical shipbuilding, pharmaceutical and electronic sectors.
Monel 400 alloy (UNS N04400 or MCu-28-1.5-1.8 or Ni68Cu28Fe) is a kind of alloy in seawater, chemical solvent, ammonia sulfur chloride, hydrogen chloride, various acidic media such as sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, organic acid , Nickel-based alloy material with good corrosion resistance in alkaline medium, salt and molten salt.
Monel 400 alloy also has good mechanical properties, a wide range of use temperatures from low temperature to high temperature, good welding performance and medium and high strength.
Monel 400 is mainly used in chemical and petrochemical and marine development fields. It can be used to manufacture various heat exchange equipment, boiler feed water heaters, petroleum and chemical pipelines, vessels, towers, tanks, valves, pumps, reactors, shafts, etc.
Executive standards: ASTM B 164 (rod, wire), ASTM B 564 (forging), ASTM B 127 (plate, strip), ASTM B 165 (seamless pipe).
Case application:
Nickel-chromium alloys (Inconel600, ALLOY600, UNS N06600)
This alloy has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, heat resistance, oxidation resistance and easy processing and welding.
Corrosion resistance
UNS N06600 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in atmospheric, water and steam media, and also has good corrosion resistance in some weak acids, dilute oxidizing and reducing acids. In various weak organic acids, the corrosion rate is also very low. For example: in acetic acid at room temperature, the corrosion rate is 0.0025---0.1mm/a. This alloy is particularly resistant to alkali corrosion. For example, in NaOH, the concentration of NaOH can reach 80%. When there is sulfide in NaOH, its corrosion resistance The corrosion resistance of UNS N06600 alloy is better than that of pure nickel. The annual corrosion rate is 0.1mm when tested in sodium sulfide at 150℃. In H3PO4, H2SO4, it can only be used at room temperature; in hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid, it can only be used in very dilute conditions; dry chlorine and dry hydrogen chloride at room temperature do not corrode UNS N06600, but in It can only be used in HF gas of ≤550℃ at high temperature.
Applications
This alloy has comprehensive properties of toughness and corrosion resistance, and is widely used in chemical and other industries. For example, it is used in the manufacture of heaters, heat exchangers, evaporators, stills, distillation columns, condensers for fatty acid treatment, equipment for treatment of rosin tin acid, chemical pumps, etc. Because the alloy also has high strength and good oxidation resistance at high temperature, it can also be used in the heat treatment industry to manufacture various structural parts. In the nuclear power industry, the alloy has good corrosion resistance to high temperature and high pressure water, so it is also an important structural material for light water reactor nuclear power plants. The products include plates, rods, wires, strips, and pipes.
